The Corporate Wellness Show

EP4: Neil Midgley from Change 2%

Kate Cook Episode 4

In this episode, Kate interviews Neil Midgeley from Change 2%.

Change 2% was founded in April 2021 by Neil Midgley (alongside a team of highly talented and trained mindfulness teachers).

Neil is a former lawyer and journalist, who qualified as a mindfulness teacher in 2018 after training at Oxford University's Mindfulness Centre.

The idea of Change 2% is to help people get into the habit of meditating for 20 minutes a day, by providing evidence-based mindfulness courses.

Neil had the idea for Change 2% after the pandemic struck, and mindfulness teaching (like so much else) went online. Our entire platform is online, from course booking through to delivery.

Which means we can offer a transparent and cost-effective option to both employers and individuals – at the same time as delivering the best mindfulness courses there are.

If you'd like to talk about how Change 2% can help you or your workplace, please email Neil on neil@change2percent.com. (Info Source: https://change2percent.arlo.co/w/aboutus/)

In this podcast series, Kate Cook, Corporate Nutritionist, author, and keynote speaker of 2 plus decades, examines all things health and vitality and, of course, nutrition within the corporate environment. Health has never been such a vital commodity for our business communities. Health is the foundation of vitality, and could arguably be the fountain of creativity, but certainly the font of energy and enthusiasm. We are of course looking for ways to reduce absentee (and presenteeism), but beyond that, we want to be able to enable the people in our care to function at their very best, not only for our workplaces but for our employees wider life.

Kate attempt to widen the conversations to incorporate such pressing questions as  what exactly is wellbeing? Examining how should we empower our people to engage in the pathway to their own health -  how should we measure and capture it, and even what it means to be truly well – interviewing inspirational leaders in the field, and sometimes mining conversation to establish root causes that lead to lack of vitality, looking at such things as  food  production, food supply and questions of purpose, contribution and meaning. Kate’s relaxed, but incisive drilling into the burning issues of health and wellbeing is wholly informative as well as highly entertaining.
